Mission Statement

"MASFSA's mission is to promote excellence in financial and customer service functions and network opportunities to membership."

Letter from the MASFSA President

Fiona GrayDear Colleagues,

We did it for the fourth time!  Our 4th Annual Conference at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant in June was a great success.  We learned a great deal, we laughed a lot, we networked, and we ate (and how we ate, the food was wonderful and the portions were not for those on diets!), some were fortunate in the casino and others not so fortunate.

I want to thank all of our 2007-08 Board Members for their hard work, especially our conference chair, Teesha Montague and her committee members.  We have our first planning meeting on August 12 for our 5th Annual Conference that will be held at the Dearborn Inn (right opposite Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum) from May 17-19, 2009.  Mark your calendars now for another great conference right here in Michigan.  If any of you have suggestions for topics or speakers for the conference, please don’t hesitate to contact any Board Member with that information.  Our organization is only as good as its members.  We plan to have our 6th Annual Conference in Traverse City in June, 2010, a beautiful, northern Michigan city.

Apart from our conference, we issue a quarterly newsletter and have a list serve available for questions or just to pass on information to our members.  Please make use of these resources to increase your knowledge in the financial services area.

If you are interested in serving on any of our committees, Professional Development, Conference or Membership, we’d love to have you on board.

We look forward to another great year for MASFSA as we continue to grow.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me fgray@wccnet.edu with any questions, concerns or ideas to make our organization more dynamic and meaningful for all financial services professionals in our Michigan Schools.
